I, Gloria Poole, Registered Nurse licensed in Missouri, artist/author/cartoonist/illustrator/photographer/citizen-journo/republican/ prolife provacateur/ Christian/ white/ woman/mother, drew then painted this wild yak of Tibet from a photo in a magazine. When I first saw the photo, I thought what an odd creature--it looked too squatty, and unbalanced with those horns, but I decided to draw it in my 8 x 11 sketchbook anyway. Then decided to paint it with watercolors and a brush. Then after photographing it, I realized it has its own sort of beauty. A wild yak is an animal that is a "workhorse' for the people of Tibet, the mountainous regions of Asia, that are steep, rough, and very cold in winter. You see the yak has its winter coat. And so I decided the wild yak has a sort of beauty also and it is good, as GOD declared. I thought about these verses in the Bible:

"And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. And GOD said let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And GOD created great whales and every living creature that moveth which the waters brought forth abundantly , after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind; and GOD saw that it was good. And GOD blessed them and saying, "be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. And GOD said "let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind"; and it was so. And GOD made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every living thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and GOD saw that it was good. " Genesis 1: 19-26, King James Holy Bible.

Now, here's another part of the record of GOD's deeds: "And GOD said, 'let us make man in our image, after our own likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over ever creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So, GOD created man in HIS own image, in the image of GOD created HE him, male and female created He them. And GOD blessed them and GOD said unto them, "be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. I am posting this here for several reasons: 1) I have added selfies of Feb 2017 in a variety of poses of me that I photographed in Feb 2017 to my blogs as I update them, and 2) I received an email alert about not letting the quote "guilt of white privilege" destroy me or something like that. It was all I could do to not laugh hilariously when I read that headline!. This is my selfe after a day of walking about in sun, so I look reddish and because it is reflected some from my bathroom shower curtain which is a deep ruby red. Anybody who follows me on twitter could tell you my life is anything but "white privilege', though someone once told me years ago that I was spoiled by white privilege.
